Michael Bridge performs Tango-Toccata by PETRI MAKKONEN at the 2011 CIA World Championships. Congratulations to the composer for the success of his piece! Michael Bridge proudly won fourth prize for Canada at the 2011 Junior World Championships, in China, and is the current National Canadian Roland Digital Accordion Champion. He has performed live with the Boston Pops for the hit NPR radio show, "From the Top" and has appeared as a temporary member of the internationally renowned Quartetto Gelato. One of the most versatile young accordionists of today, he is equally at home performing Great Composer like Bach and Haydn, Polkas and Waltzes, Jazz standards, Ethnic music, or Pop hits. Though only 18, his musical travels have led him to China, France, Croatia, Italy, Las Vegas, and all around the USA and Canada. A long-time student of Beverley Fess, he now is studying accordion performance at the University of Toronto, under world-renowned accordion pedagogue Joseph Macerollo.
