KFOR Tribute (HD) Tube. Duration : 4.08 Mins.

Tribut to all international soldiers in Kosovo! www.facebook.com www.roterfreitag.de The Kosovo Force (KFOR) is a NATO-led international peacekeeping force responsible for establishing a secure environment in Kosovo. KFOR entered Kosovo on 12 June 1999 under a United Nations mandate, two days after the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1244. At the time of UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Kosovo was facing a grave humanitarian crisis, with military and paramilitary forces from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) and the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in daily engagement. Ethnic tensions were at their highest and the death toll had reached a historic high. Nearly one million people had fled Kosovo as refugees.[ As of January 2010, KFOR consists of fewer than 10000 troops. As of 1 February 2010, the Multinational Task Forces changed the structure and become Multinational Battle Groups. A Tribute to Dizzy Gillespy at Avery Fisher Hall, NY 1975 Part 8 Tube. Duration : 4.15 Mins.

A Tribute to Dizzy Gillespy at Avery Fisher Hall, NY 1975 Part 8 --------------------------------------------------------------- John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie, along with Charlie Parker, ushered in the era of Be-Bop in the American jazz tradition. He was born Cheraw, South Carolina, and was the youngest of nine children. He began playing piano at the age of four and received a music scholarship to the Laurinburg Institute in North Carolina. Most noted for his trademark "swollen cheeks", Gillespie admitted to copying the style of trumpeter Roy Eldridge early in his career. He replaced Eldridge in the 'Teddy Hill' Band after Eldridge's departure. He eventually began experimenting and creating his own style which would eventually come to the attention of Mario Bauza, the Godfather of Afro-Cuban jazz who was then a member of the Cap Calloway Orchestra, joining Calloway in 1939, Gillespie was fired after two years when he cut a portion of the Calloway's buttocks with a knife after Calloway accused him of throwing spitballs (the two men later became lifelong friends and often retold this story with great relish until both of their deaths). Although noted for his on and off-stage clowning, Gillespie endured as one of the founding fathers of the Afro-Cuban &/or Latin Hazz tradition. Influenced by Bauza, known as Gillespies musical father, he was able to fuse Afro-American jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms to form a burgeoning CuBop sound. Always a musical ambassador, he toured Africa ...

Chavhanga has played for the national team, the Springboks, being capped once in 2005. He played for the Stormers in the international Super 14 competition. Tonderai Chavhanga left Cape Town in 2010 after he signed a two-year contract with the Lions in September 2009. Chavhanga made his international debut for the Springboks as a 21 year old on 11 June 2005 on the right wing, in a home game against Uruguay at the Basil Kenyon Stadium in East London. The Springboks notched up a large victory, winning 134 points to three. Chavhanga scored six tries in the match and now holds the South African record for the number of tries scored in one game. He missed the end of year touring matches, because of a quad muscle injury. He was selected as part of the springboks squad to tour New Zealand and Australia. He was on the bench for the game against the All Blacks in Christchurch. It was rumoured that he could run 100m in 10.27 seconds which he has denied saying "I was not bad, but it's not true that I ran the 100m in 10.27 seconds. It was 10.5. 10.2 is pretty fast."[1] and according to Jake White, the former springbok coach's book (in black and white), he is possibly the fastest rugby player in South African history, and in the world at the moment. In September 2011 Chavhanga joined Welsh ...
