This suite of Bulgarian melodies was debuted as part of Ballad of the Balkans, Ethnic Dance Theatre's Spring Concert Series 2001. These melodies are new interpretations based on traditional folk songs mixing modes, ornamentation, and rhythms from the Dobrudja and Thrace regions of Bulgaria.
