"EMPOWER WOMEN, STRONG PAKISTAN"....BIGGEST WOMEN GATHERING IN THE POLITICAL HISTORY OF THE WORLD
A NEW HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN IN THE POLITICAL HISTORY OF THE WORLD: ALTAF HUSSAIN WOMEN MUST BE EMPOWERED FOR A PROSPEROUS PAKISTAN Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that Pakistan cannot become strong unless the women were empowered. He said that it was necessary to empower the women. He said this while addressing a mamoth public meeting of the women at the Bagh-i-Quaid-i-Azam beside the tomb of the father of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on 19th February 2012. Mr Hussain said that the historic women public meeting was the splendid display of national unity as women from all ethnic and religious backgrounds were present in the ground in the huge number. He said that it was a clear message for everyone that we are united and we will remain united under the flag of the MQM. Mr Hussain said that a new chapter has been written in the political history of the world in the shadow of the tomb of the Quaid-i-Azam by this mammoth meeting. He said that other political parties had been making tall claims about holding large public meeting in the Bagh-i-Quaid-i-Azam, but the MQM has demonstrated that even the women of the MQM were sufficient to meet the challenge of the opponents. Mr Hussain said that it was Allah alone who brings honour for whomsoever He wills and debases whomsoever He wills. He said that the public meeting of the women was the largest not only in Pakistan and south Asia but across the world.
Helene Fischer ("Mut zum Gefuehl" Live DVD)
Ripped from my DVD to MP4 for high definition output using WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. Helene Fischer was born in the Siberian town of Krasnoyarsk, Russia, where she spent her early childhood. In 1988 her ethnic German family emigrated to Germany. In Germany, the family settled in the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. After graduating from school, Helene Fischer attended the Frankfurt Stage & Musical School for three years, where she studied singing and acting. During this time, Helene performed on stage at the State Theatre of Darmstadt, as well as on the stage of National Theatre in Frankfurt. During her time at the Stage & Musical School, her mother secretly copied a demo CD with six songs of Helene and sent it to different recording studios to gauge the reaction of professionals. Helene's debut on stage took place on May 14, 2005, in a program of the TV channel ARD. It was a duet with the singer Florian Silbereisen. The two later became a couple. Helene Fischer on Tour with orchestra May 2011 Her popularity has increased greatly; she has won three prestigious "Echo" (German Grammy) awards, the coveted "Goldene Henne" twice, and the "Krone der Volksmusik" prize three times. All her albums and DVDs have achieved multiple gold and double platinum status. Her songs, with their stories of the everyday worries and woes of home-loving folks, are lyrically close to what the English speaking world calls "Country" although musically quite different. Her circle of fans extends beyond ...

bit.ly - FREE Bekele Gerba and Olbana Lelisa, OROMO Political Prisoners in the Ethiopian Empire, which is overall the prison house of the Oromo nation - OROMIA SHALL BE FREE! On August 27, 2011, Oromo political leaders, Obbo Bekele Gerba and Obbo Olbana Lelisa, were thrown into prison by the TPLF regime, which has militarily occupied Oromiyaa since 1991. Two of the estimated 20000 Oromo nationalist political prisoners in the Ethiopian empire, Obbo Bekele Gerba was the deputy Chairman of the opposition Oromo Federalist Democratic Movement (OFDM), and Obbo Olbana Lelisa a leader in the Oromo People's Congress party (OPC) at the time of their arrests. Obbo Bekele Gerba and Obbo Olbana Lelisa were thrown into prison after meeting with an Amnesty International delegation, which was also expelled from the Empire afterwards. Please read here about Amnesty International's report about the two prisoners of consciousness. www.amnesty.org The two were then joined in October 2011 by another 100 Oromo political prisoners, including leaders and activists of the Oromo civic society, the Macha-Tulama Self-Help Association (MTSHA), which was afterwards closed down for yet another round. THE FORGOTTEN POLITICAL PRISONERS In one of his recent reports, VOA's Peter Heinlein reported about the forgotten case of the Oromo nationalist political prisoners: "Almost forgotten has been the case of more than 100 ethnic Oromo political activists. Ethnic Diversity and the Nation State: National Cultural Autonomy Revisited (Routledge Innovations in Political Theory)![]() Ethnic Diversity and the Nation State: National Cultural Autonomy Revisited (Routledge Innovations in Political Theory)
Ethnic Diversity and the Nation State: National Cultural Autonomy Revisited (Routledge Innovations in Political Theory) Overviews This book explores a largely forgotten legacy of multicultural political thought and practice from within Eastern Europe and examines its relevance to post-Cold War debates on state and nationhood. Featuring a Preface by former UK Home Secretary Charles Clarke, it weaves theory and practice to challenge established understandings of the nation state. Eastern Europe is still too often viewed through the prism of ethnic conflict, which overlooks the region’s positive contribution to modern debates on the political management of ethno-cultural diversity, and towards the construction of a united Europe ‘beyond the nation-state’. Based on extensive archival research in Estonia, Latvia, Germany, Russia, as well as the League of Nations Archive in Geneva, this book explores this neglected multicultural legacy and assesses its significance in the post-Cold War era, which has seen the reappearance of national cultural autonomy laws in several states of Eastern Europe. Ethnic Diversity and the Nation State is invaluable reading for students and scholars of political science, history, sociology and European studies, and also for policy makers and others interested in minority rights and ethnic conflict regulation. |
