Electoral Action of Poles is the latest entrant to the center-left governing coalition club. Leaders of the coalition claim that it will head the Energy Ministry. An ethnic-Polish party demanded the same conditions for joining the ruling coalition as the Order and Justice Party. That means two Ministries. However, it accepted to join with one. Party considers nominating chairman of LitPol Link, the developer of the interconnection project, Jaroslav Neverovic, as candidate for Energy Minister. Energy Ministry coordinates energy companies involved in expensive projects. One of the companies is electricity transmission operator Litgrid, which coordinates LitPol Link. Leader of Social Democrats said that since Poland is Lithuania's strategic partner, participation of the Electoral Action of Poles would facilitate strategic projects between Lithuania and Poland. Under the coalition agreement, leader of Social Democrats, Algirdas Butkevicius will be Prime Minister. Party will get seven ministries: Finance, Transport and Communications, Economy, National Defense, Health, Foreign Affairs, and Justice. The Labor Party will control four ministries: Agriculture, Education and Science, Social Security and Labor, and Culture. It will also nominate a candidate for the Seimas speaker.
