You'd have known about the Rohingya Muslim community of Myanmar, Burma, who were prosecuted by Buddhist Terror organizations in the recent past. Unofficial reports claim that more than 7 Lakh Muslims were killed and mercilessly tortured in Burma. Victims who tried fleeing to Bangladesh were sent back by Bangladesh Government. No Media channel and no print media reported about this, except what we came to know through Internet sources. Many of my acquaintances mailed Burmese Embassy in Delhi, but replies were improper. The Buddhist monks who are portrayed as harbingers of peace and harmony actively participated in ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims. Thousands were raped and many were horribly killed. Many of the Buddhist monks were seen holding automatic rifles and guns, while Burmese inhabitants carried swords and incendiary objects. Those who tried escaping were arrested by local Police and army; they were later trialed in the courts by subjecting them to hang-till-death or shooting them dead. Even humanitarian NGOs were stopped by Buddhist monks, who went with food supplies and medicines. However, around 300 Rohingya Muslims fled their homes into forests; where they lived on wild fruits and leaves. Later through forests they could get in West Bengal -- Kolkata.
